Spicy chicken bowl or wraps

We originally made this recipe years ago as a wrap and always loved it. Later we started making our own wraps and that upgraded it so much! We will add the recipe we use to make them as well. It is definitely worth it to make your own, it's very easy and they taste so much better. We changed this from a wrap recipe into a bowl recipe when we started to change our lifestyle. But this is one of those recipes where it's really easy, when you eat with others, to make it into a bowl for ourselves and add the wraps for everyone else.

Lissy doesn't love really spicy food so for us this is the perfect amount of spice, but the spice can easily be adjusted to match your flavour.

Chicken for 2:

- 1 Onion

- 2 Chicken breast

- 1 can of tomato puree

- 1 teaspoon sugar

- 2 teaspoon cumin

- 2 teaspoons garlic powder

- 1 teaspoon chilli flakes

- salt and pepper to taste

Wraps (makes 4 large wraps) - 2 cups flour

-1/2 teaspoon salt - 3/4 cup water - 3 tablespoons oil

Garlic sauce:

2 cups mayonaise

2/3 cloves of crushed garlic

salt and pepper to taste

2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 cup water

optional add some fresh chives or parsley

To make it into a bowl or to add to your wrap: -lettuce We switch it up what we add to it, and each have our own preferences. Our favourites to add is tomato or avocado.

- Cut the chicken breast in pieces

- Fry the onion in a pan with some oil

- Add the chicken

- Add the tomato puree

- Add the spices and sugar

- Mix flour and salt together in a large bowl

- Stir in the water and the oil

-Put the dough on a floured surface

-Knead the dough until it is smooth

- Let it rest for 10 minutes

- Divide the dough into 4 portions

- Roll each portion into a large wrap - Cook the wraps in a heavy (cast iron) skillet in some oil until they start to brown, about a minute on each side

Garlic sauce

add all ingredients in a bowl and mix. You can use it right away. Or make it before and save it in the fridge. ( be aware that the garlic flavour will get stronger the longer the sauce sits)

To assemble:

- Add lettuce to your wrap or bowl

-Add other veggies (optional)

- Add the chicken

-Add the sauce

Wether you eat this in a wrap or in a bowl it's delicious! And again very easy to adjust to what you like.
